Quite often, when thinking about how to solve a problem, the solution comes from something that isn’t related to the problem at all. For Tyre Bananas, I got the idea from a regular zipper. I started thinking: could tyres be installed in the same way a zipper is closed?

Design

After countless of different 3D models, 3D prints and testing I was finally happy with the end results. When designing new stuff to market it helps a lot if you have people around you testing your idea an giving feedback what could be improved and how.

About me

Mountain biking has been a big part of my life since early childhood. I started mountain biking in the early ’90s, and I entered my first MTB competition in 1994. I’m still chasing that first victory. 😂

I’ve been working as mechanical designer for about 17 years.
